On April 25, 2026, we continued our journey with the second training day of the “Learn Cruiser Sailing” project.

This time, our focus shifted from first impressions to understanding how everything works behind the scenes. We started in the harbor, learning how to safely prepare the yacht before departure and how to properly handle her in a confined space.

Under the skipper’s guidance, we explored the essential systems on board, with special attention to the engine — how to start it, what to check before and after use, and how it supports us when sailing is not enough.

We practiced basic harbor maneuvers, including leaving the dock and returning safely, learning how wind and limited space affect the yacht’s movement. Communication and teamwork became even more important as each of us took part in real actions on board.

The day helped us feel more confident not only as passengers, but as an active crew.

Step by step, we are building the foundation for safe and independent sailing.

Next mission: more control, more wind, and more responsibility on the water.
